For me, the most significant difference between Science Bits and more traditional instructional materials is its teaching approach. It reverses the conventional sequence of learning by placing experimentation first, engaging students’ minds from the outset, and then bringing everything together through conceptual explanations.

I find this approach far more effective than the traditional model of «first we explain, then we do an experiment to prove it.»

I also especially appreciate the “Engage” section, both because of the motivation it generates and because of its simplicity.
